Sue's KittenKaboodles

[This lady has three webpages. One to cover the holidays so be sure to check out the Valentine gifs and other holiday gifs. St. Paddy's day is around the corner, too. Then a webpage on "Cats" called "Kitten Kaboodle" that is a must see!! It has big, little, and funny cat features! And it has a few pages on dogs, fish, birds, lions, tigers and panthers to boot! And a "Banners" site. This is one busy lady!--ck]
Sue lives in Orange Park, Florida, just outside of Jacksonville. She has lived here for 20 years, though she was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She definitely prefers the climate in Orange Park. Of course, long ago it had a lot of orange groves, hence the name. The movie 'GI Jane', with Demi Moore, was shot about 12 miles south of Orange Park, near Camp Blanding. It is also a big military town. "Jax NAS (naval air station) is very close by," she said.
Sue said that about 2 years ago she saw a commercial for WebTV. She had been toying with the idea of getting a computer, but "they cost too much." This seemed like something that Sue would at least want to give a try. Sue bought her first WebTV at WalMart, (Good Old Wally World), but it was destroyed due to a bad lightening storm. So, she bought the second one last summer at Sears. In April, Sue will have been on WebTV for 2 years. She now proclaims that she is totally addicted... and loving every minute of it!!
Sue started making some e-mail friends. Some of them had webpages and told Sue she should try it. So next, Sue had to think of a subject. She loved putting graphics in her e-mail and it was her favorite thing to do! So she definitely had to make a graphics page, with gifs, backgrounds, lines, etc. "And being a cat lover, I decided to make the site using cat graphics. That's how Kitten Kaboodle was created." "Kitten Kaboodle" was created in August, 1999 and is Sue's first site. She says it still isn't done because she is constantly adding to it as she finds and receives new cat graphics for it every day. So, check back often.
Then, that same year, as Christmas was approaching, Sue decided to make a site with holiday graphics called Celebrate The Holidays. It has every holiday listed in her site. Check out the Valentines graphics! There are animated and non-animated gifs as well as lines, bars, backgrounds and music. There is some St.Patty's Day stuff as well for the next holiday. Sue has got it all covered.
I asked Sue where she learned most of her HTML lessons. And, of course, she said, "That's easy! Definitely, Draac's!" She found his site way in the beginning. And there was no copy and paste then. So, she had to write everything down in a notebook. Since then, Sue has collected many help sites that are now on her F-Key saver and in two favorites folders.
What Sue likes the most about WebTV are all the great friends she has made on here. Sue and her friends all send things to each other, like jokes, webpages, new things to learn, etc. And they are always willing to help each other with HTML, especially a "newbie" who really wants to learn. Sue remembers how frustrating it was when she first started out and she made a vow to herself that she will always help anyone who asks.
Now the thing that Sue dislikes about WebTV is the slow loading of webpages and e-mail a lot of the time. And the disconnects, especially when Sue is in her webshell at Angelfire, working on her pages. Sometimes, it just shuts off, and Sue looses everything she put in there! "Extremely irritating!" Also, the "cc" (reply all button). A lot of people just abuse it. (They would be better off with BCC - blind carbon copy).
Sue would also like to add that when I first contacted her, she was so surprised! And, she felt honored to have been chosen for this interview. And she thanks me, Bee, for making it so easy ;-) and Net4tv Voice!

[Community Editor's Notes: Sue!! Your "Celebrate the Holiday" site is a treasure trove of gifs! And your feline site was a joy to visit! Ummm, glad you added a page or two on doggies, as my little terrier was growling at the photos of the cats. LOL--ck]
