Check Your Phone Number, or Pay the Bill!

Ok guys this is not funny.
Please every make sure every time you dial up
on webtv that you check the number they are dialing. If you get
disconnected then make sure you check what they dial as the alternate.
I've had Webtv for
almost 2 years and it never even crossed my mind this could happen. I
just recieved a $485 phone bill for 1 months use because Webtv had
been dialing me into a long distance number WHICH I didn't know!! I just
thought they had changed isp's and I was dialing a new number.
I called
Webtv and they said 'Oh your phone company says this is a local call'.
I called the phone company and they said 'NO it is not' a local call'.
SO then webtv tells me that it's my problem, that it's on my head to
watch them and make sure they are not dialing long distance. NOT their
problem.
Then one tells me to send in my bill so they can look at it , I asked
what they are going to do? They will investgate . So I don't know if
they will pay for this or if I will have to.
I tell you one thing: If I
have to pay for calls that weren't my fault then I will cut this box off
and get a computer. I've had Webtv for almost 2 years and have never had
this problem. I pay them $20 a month for this crap and now they turn
around and give me the shaft. Plus the people at Webtv were just plain
rude and didn't care what the problem is. Also when I asked for their
name I was told 'We don't have names or op numbers.' I asked to speak to
a supervisor and I was told they couldn't help me either. Right now I'm
so mad , Ole Webtv better be glad there not near me or I'd be on their
door step right now.
Please again EVERYONE CHECK everytime you dial up on Webtv and EVERYTIME
it disconnects.
