The newsgroup, alt.discuss.homepage.opinions or HPO as it is known on
the net, is one of the best groups on the net. At HPO, our posterscome
in to get feedback on thier homepages. In replies, they will get many
different suggestions on how they might improve thiersite, and make it
more user friendly. We strive to make our posters feel welcome from the
moment that they "step" into our group. We love to have a great
diversity of posters to give those seeking opinions many new ideas.
HPO isn't only opinions though. We offer help to those who post with
us, and choose to take the suggestions which are given to them. We
don't want them to feel as though after we have given them our opinions,
they are yesterday's news. Everyone is welcomed, and anyone in the
group would be happy to help those who need it!
HPO has a wonderful staff of people that help to increase interest in
the group wit it's many programs. HPO has its very own webring, and
banner exchange, which are wonderful ways to increase the traffic to the
homepages which are created by the members of the group. You will also
find a monthly award for one lucky site, which is voted for by the
members not the staff. It is a great honor to have your site chosen by
your fellow opinionaters. There are many other wonderful programs that
HPO offers as well.
I spend the better part of my time online in the newsgroup, because it's
members have made it feel like an online home for me. From the very
start I was welcomed and felt as though I was a part of a family. I am
happy to be able to say that I am a member of the staff at HPO!
