If you are one of the 50,000 PageBuilders using WebScissors each week, please take a moment to read about the young author who created it.
In reading about him you will feel the pain of everyone's loss, the injustice of a young athlete's death and overwhelming sadness of what just should not be. But you will also laugh hard and be real glad you took the time to learn about the brilliant young man who gave you WebScissors with his own time and money. In addition to authoring WebScissors, he was a WebTV engineer, filmmaker, bicyclist, loving son, and he sold Toessels.
For those of you who don't know, WebScissors is a handy tool for all PageBuilders.
If you see an image on a web site that you would like in your scrapbook, all you have to do is:
Type in the page address that contains a graphic you want
Press "Show Images"
You will then see all the images from the page you entered.
Click on any image and WebScissors will place that image in your Scrapbook.
WebScissors can also be used as an uploader for individual images from web sites, including Photopoint, and temporary URLs from Banner Generators.
One of the things Jos wanted was his WebScissors linked in the PageBuilder Index sidebar. Perhaps WebTV will do it one day. Meanwhile, the PageBuilders are carrying a banner that is a replica of the PageBuilder Index sidebar and "we" put Jos' WebScissors link on the sidebar.
This handy tool has 5 links. The banner has links to our personal homepage, a PageBuilder Friends chatroom, our PB index, the newsgroup and WebScissors.
The chatroom has no itinerary- it's a central meeting place for all PageBuilders to use at anytime.
Also, just to clarify- whoever clicks on the index page will see their own index. It's like a mirror. No one can see your index, except you.
If you would like a banner, cut and paste this code into your email signature:

On a personal note, I knew Jos as "AJ." I was his WebScissors guinea pig and part time cheerleader. AJ was more than a guy I met online. His spirit was able to transcend the written word and just grab your heart. I thoroughly enjoyed corresponding with him. It could have been about WebScissors - it could have been about the weather. Whatever he had to say it was large - it was human, it was spirited and enjoyable.
I'm proud to have known Jos and so sad that he is gone. Even though our correspondence came to a sudden halt (I did not know he died), I never felt as though he had turned away from me. Sometimes you lose touch with someone when a project is over and you know you were only part of that pigeonhole of their life and sometimes you lose touch with people but you know that you are still carried in their heart. Jos gave me a glimpse of his heart and he was so genuine, so honest and caring that I didn't mind losing touch because I knew he had a large life and whenever I would hear from again would be okay with me.
