On-Line Resources
Every bookstore today has books about creating websites and writing HTML, but you can also find a lot of help online for free. Here are links to some good sites that we've found helpful.

NCSA - A Beginners' Guide to HTML
An excellent and well-organized to HTML from the source of the modern web browser, the Guide is divided into three parts to make it easier to handle.
HTML Quick Reference
"Just the tags, ma'am." Very brief explanations, but an excellent "cheat sheet" of the tags, statements and attributes for HTML 3.2. When you get your printer, this is one you'll want in hard copy.
Special Characters
¡Hola! How do those special characters, like the upside down exclamation and question marks, get into the page? If you've got a ¥en to use them, here's the list.
WebTV Official HTML Guide and Reference
The horse's mouth -- this very usable guide gives you all the "officially released" tricks and details for WebTV development.
Carlos' FORMS Tutorial
If your site provider offers some CGI programs, you can use forms in your page so your users can give you their input. This site is an excellent, simple, but quite thorough intro to the user of forms.
Kelly's HTML Reference
Very straightforward, brief presentation that covers almost everything in basic HTML. Includes tables, which are often shorted in other references. Be patient... it's long (although mostly text) and can take a little while to come in.
Glyph's HTML Reference
Excellent explanations and a very pleasing layout make this one of the best when the Web is running quickly; the site is in UK, so sometimes it can be a little slow. Please do not use their graphics by referencing them from your site.
The HTML Laboratory
Try out your HTML skills here and see how the tags work -- a great place just to try things, or to learn "Guest Book HTML" if you don't have your own home page.
