Question of the Week: Peace, Happiness, or a Furby
By Net4TV Voice (December 19, 1999)
In our Question of the Week, we asked what you were wishing for this
holiday season. These readers wish for peace, happiness, or a Furby.
The one thing that I would love for this holiday season is
for all people to put aside petty hatreds and personal problems and
nuture this planet into the next century. We stand at the threshold of a
new millenium. Let's learn from the mistakes of the last millenium and
strive harder not to repeat them. Let's also go out of our way to be
nicer people. I can vaguely remember a time when people treated
others with more warmth than they do now and that's not good. We've
tried war and that didn't work how about trying love for a change? I'm
not talking about free love like the 60's but just respect for every
person and creature on this planet and if I can't have that then I'll have
to settle for a Furby.... mojo
I would like to see more peace on the internet and less
bickering between webtvers and computer users. I have seen too
many heated discussions over which is best and I feel we should be
grateful for what we have and not try to look over the fence to see
whose grass is greener. Bev
I'd wish for people to get along. No judging, no hating,
no envy, no spitefulness, no hurting. Just accept people for who they
are without trying to change them. Cherish the days you have left with
those you love and don't worry about what others say about you.
Respect and love yourself. Susan

I wish that they could find a cure for Emphysemia and all
the other uncurable diseases. Plus, let us have world peace in the next
century. ........HAPPY HOLIDAYS............ ...........PEACE ON

1999 was a hard year for me. I lost my long-standing
job, my home, and almost my faith. The toughest part was not having
any family ANYWHERE closeby to lend a comforting shoulder. My
finest wish for this holiday season, would be to have my daughter (who
lives two states away) and my sister (who lives MANY states
away)financially able to fly out and spend a nostalgic, loving, FAMILY
Christmas for the last time in this century and for the FIRST time in
many years. To help us "usher" out the woes of the past, and
TOGETHER, welcome in this new millenium full of hope. NOTHING
in this world could POSSIBLY make me feel more blessed than this. Becky Stallman
If I could have one wish that would come true, it would
be to have my beloved sister back for one more Christmas. She died
6/5/99. This is the first time in my life I have not felt like celebrating. If
I could have 2 wishes the other thing I would wish for is to keep the
rest of my family with me forever. Jewell Elghazali
Just that my kids are healthy and happy.....Well make
that everyone. Deb R
